I attach a short statement in tabular

form of the proposals. In general they do no

more than supplement the Governor's previous

telegrams.

The schemes will admittedly not

suffice to shelter all the estimated destitutes

but the Governor thinks it advisable at the

outset to proceed experimentally and I think we

may concur.

? Acknowledge and say that the

Secretary of State has learned with interest of

the Governor's proposals for dealing with the

refugee problem.

Say that he concurs in them

generally and in the Governor's view that at

the outset it is advisable to proceed

experimentally.

I understand that a request for

repetition of the name of the aerodrome given

in 39 was sent at the request of the Air

Ministry.

This telegram is the reply and I

have passed the information by telephone to

Lieut.
